Director Chen Tao of the Immunotherapy Department at the Center of Excellence for Oncology, Guangzhou Fuli Hospital, Visits Shenzhen Cell Valley for Exchange

On August 1, Professor Chen Tao, Director of the Immunotherapy Department at the Center of Excellence for Oncology, Guangzhou Fuli Hospital, and his delegation visited Shenzhen Cell Valley for exchange and discussion. Our Chairman, Shi Yuanyuan; Chief Scientist, Wang Jianxun; Deputy General Manager, Xiang Hua; Head of R&D, Zhao Lijun; and Director of the General Administration Office, Wang Lu, extended a warm welcome to the delegation.

Accompanied by Head of R&D Zhao Lijun, Professor Chen and his delegation toured the smart exhibition hall, gaining an initial understanding of Shenzhen Cell Valley's strategic positioning, founding team, development overview, and core technology patents. Subsequently, through an on-site visit to our GMP-grade production and R&D laboratories and quality management laboratories, they engaged in in-depth discussions on the company's unique competitive advantages in its core technologies—retroviral vector preparation and cell product manufacturing processes—and expressed high recognition for the full-process traceability and rigorous monitoring system implemented in quality management.

During the symposium, Head of R&D Zhao Lijun provided a detailed introduction to Shenzhen Cell Valley's core technology team, recent research achievements, and clinical application cases. Chairman Shi Yuanyuan noted that Dr. Zhao Lijun, as the Head of R&D at Shenzhen Cell Valley, recently co-authored a high-level academic paper on bispecific CAR-T in collaboration with Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School. The novel bispecific CD19/CD22 LoopCAR-T technology represented by this achievement has been successfully prepared by Shenzhen Cell Valley and has been applied in clinical settings. To date, this technology has completed clinical treatment for four patients with B-cell malignancies at Huazhong Union Shenzhen Hospital (Nanshan Hospital), achieving significant therapeutic outcomes. In addition, Shenzhen Cell Valley has established close cooperative relationships with multiple medical institutions, successfully conducting numerous clinical treatments using novel targeted CAR-T cells prepared with retroviral vectors—including CD19, BCMA, CD19/CD22, CD7, CD38, and others—all demonstrating good efficacy and safety, bringing new treatment hope to patients.

Professor Chen Tao noted that the Center of Excellence for Oncology at Guangzhou Fuli Hospital is built to the standards of top international oncology institutions and first-class domestic oncology specialty hospitals. The center has introduced Medpoint's international medical management and operational expertise and collaborates with international medical centers to establish a cancer prevention and treatment center. The team is composed of renowned experts from major oncology centers and specialty hospitals across China, covering both international and domestic oncology subspecialties in diagnosis, treatment, and nursing. The purpose of this visit was to engage in in-depth exchanges with the Shenzhen Cell Valley product R&D team, jointly discussing the latest technological developments in cell-targeted therapy, and, through deep collaboration between platforms, accelerating the pace of translating research achievements into clinical applications.

Furthermore, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on potential future cooperation models. They unanimously agreed that by building an open and shared cooperation platform and integrating the complementary advantages of both parties, they could significantly enhance the R&D efficiency and innovation capacity of cell therapy technologies, making greater contributions to the healthcare sector.
