On April 20–21, the First Huaxia Tumor Immunotherapy New Technology Forum and the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Tumor Immunotherapy Branch of the China International Exchange and Promotive Association for Medical and Health Care were successfully held in Chengdu. The forum brought together multiple academicians, renowned scholars, authoritative experts, and industry pioneers to engage in in-depth discussions and exchanges on key and hot topics in areas such as synthetic tumor immunology and tumor immunometabolism. Participants deliberated on China's tumor prevention and control strategies and explored the opportunities and challenges facing cancer prevention and treatment.

Our Chief Scientist, Professor Wang Jianxun, was invited to attend the forum and delivered a keynote speech titled "Establishment of an Industrial System for Cell-Based Pharmaceuticals Based on Retroviral Vectors." At this forum, Shenzhen Cell Valley was awarded the "Rising Star Case" prize in the First Tumor Immunotherapy New Technology Case Exhibition.

Professor Wang Jianxun stated that cell and gene therapy, as an emerging treatment modality, has become a major trend in modern healthcare and will continue to experience rapid growth over the next two decades. Viral vectors serve as effective tools for gene delivery and occupy an irreplaceable position in the preparation of targeted cytotoxic cells. Among cell and gene therapies, retroviral vectors and lentiviral vectors are the most widely used. Shenzhen Cell Valley's core technology—industrial-scale retroviral vector technology (including the Pack-SS system)—significantly reduces industrial preparation costs and increases production capacity. The company has already initiated IND pipelines based on retroviral vectors in collaboration with industry leaders such as Fosun Kite, and has partnered with multiple renowned public tertiary hospitals across China, including Huazhong Union Shenzhen Hospital, Peking University Shenzhen Hospital, Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Beijing Children's Hospital, Sun Yatsen University Cancer Center, and Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center. Through these collaborations, the company has successfully treated dozens of patients with advanced malignancies. Shenzhen Cell Valley leverages its core technologies to overcome the critical "bottlenecks" of raw materials and costs in cell therapy, continuously improving service quality and product standards to bring new hope to patients in a tangible way.
At this forum, Shenzhen Cell Valley, as an emerging CGT enterprise in the biopharmaceutical field, attracted significant attention. Looking ahead, Shenzhen Cell Valley will continue to deepen fundamental technology research, leverage its core competitiveness, and contribute greater wisdom and strength to the cause of human health.
