On March 7, 2024, a delegation from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Science and Technology, including President Xing Jianwu, Vice President Wang Huirui, and Director of the Science and Education Division Jia Zhiqiang, visited Shenzhen Cell Valley. Our Chairman, Shi Yuanyuan; Chief Scientist, Wang Jianxun; Deputy General Manager, Tang Xiaomeng; Assistant to the Chairman, Wei Zheng; Head of R&D, Zhao Lijun; Head of Marketing, Sun Rui; and Sales Manager, Wu Xiaosheng, extended a warm welcome.

First, accompanied by Chairman Shi Yuanyuan, the delegation from the Second Affiliated Hospital of HAUST toured the Shenzhen Cell Valley smart exhibition hall, production workshops, and R&D laboratories, gaining an initial understanding of the company's development history and its products and services.

During the symposium, Chairman Shi Yuanyuan extended a warm welcome to President Xing Jianwu and his delegation and provided a detailed introduction to the development prospects of the cell and gene therapy industry, as well as Shenzhen Cell Valley's platform development, core technological advantages, clinical application progress of cell products, and major R&D breakthroughs. Vice President Wang Huirui provided the Cell Valley team with an overview of the overall development and construction of the Second Affiliated Hospital of HAUST, the clinical progress of cell therapy in its departments, and the current status of clinical applications. Chairman Shi Yuanyuan noted that Shenzhen Cell Valley's CAR-T, CAR-NK, and TCR-T cell products, based on retroviral vectors, leverage a unique and domestically exclusive production process (PackRV-SS system), providing solid technical support for pharmaceutical companies and medical institutions to achieve low-cost, high-quality industrial-scale production. Recently, Shenzhen Cell Valley's R&D team has achieved breakthroughs in the preparation processes of CAR-NK and CAR-γδT cells, which will drive multiple innovative cell products toward clinical application and commercial markets. At the same time, through rigorous clinical trials and validation, multiple cell products have successfully entered the clinical application phase with significant results. Shenzhen Cell Valley will continue to deepen research and development in the cell and gene therapy field, achieving comprehensive development across platform construction, product R&D, and talent cultivation, while actively promoting the clinical translation of research outcomes to provide patients with safer and more effective treatment options.
President Xing Jianwu expressed high appreciation for Shenzhen Cell Valley's deep technological expertise and its achievements in clinical treatment. He noted that the Second Affiliated Hospital of HAUST has continuously made breakthroughs in the clinical treatment of hematological diseases such as leukemia and aplastic anemia, improving patient survival and quality of life. The hospital has always maintained a strong focus on the development of cell therapy technologies and hopes to engage in in-depth cooperation with Shenzhen Cell Valley in research development, clinical application, and talent cultivation, jointly promoting the innovation and development of cell therapy technologies.
The two parties engaged in in-depth discussions on the construction of a joint cell therapy center platform, government policy support, and joint talent cultivation, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent establishment of a high-level cell therapy center and providing patients with more high-quality, precise, and efficient medical services.

About the Second Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Science and Technology
Located in Luoyang, Henan Province, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Science and Technology was established on January 8, 1949. It is a grade-A tertiary public general hospital that is contemporaneous with the founding of the People's Republic of China, integrating medical care, teaching, research, emergency services, preventive healthcare, and public health services. The hospital comprises the main Jinguangyuan Road campus, the Luolong campus, and the Zhujiang Road Community Health Service Center. It has a planned bed capacity of 1,200, with 980 beds currently in operation, and a total floor area of 129,480 square meters (including the Luolong campus). The hospital operates 66 clinical departments and employs 1,455 staff, including 165 with associate senior professional titles or above, and 195 with doctoral or master's degrees (including the Luolong campus).
On November 23, 2023, the first patient undergoing autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation at the Hematology Treatment Center of the Second Affiliated Hospital of HAUST showed favorable prognosis and was successfully discharged. The successful implementation of the hospital's first autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for acute myeloid leukemia filled a gap in the hospital's autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation capabilities and represents a milestone in the hospital's history of hematological disease treatment. Going forward, the hospital will continue to pursue excellence and exploration in the field of hematological disease treatment, safeguarding the health of patients with blood disorders.
