On January 16, 2023, Liu Yingjie, Director of the Pingshan District Science, Technology, and Innovation Bureau, led a delegation to Shenzhen Cell Valley for research, aiming to understand the company's production and operations and provide support for the development of the enterprise and the biopharmaceutical industry. Shenzhen Cell Valley Chairman and General Manager Shi Yuanyuan, Chief Scientist Wang Jianxun, and their team extended a warm welcome and held symposium discussions.

First, accompanied by Chairman Shi Yuanyuan, Director Liu Yingjie and his delegation toured the smart exhibition hall, production workshops, and R&D laboratories, gaining an understanding of the founding team, corporate development history, the history and current status of cell therapy, service platform construction, and corporate vision. The delegation fully affirmed Shenzhen Cell Valley's commitment to providing full-industry-chain services—from "R&D – production – regulatory application – talent cultivation"—for cell-based drug development for pharmaceutical companies in the emerging biopharmaceutical industry, empowering the development of the cell and gene therapy field.

During the symposium, Chairman Shi Yuanyuan extended a warm welcome to the district Science, Technology, and Innovation Bureau leadership and provided a detailed explanation of the industry background of cell and gene therapy, market development trends, and the advantages of the company's core technology—GMP industrial-scale production of retroviral vectors. Director Liu Yingjie emphasized the high importance placed on biopharmaceutical enterprises. He stated that biopharmaceutical companies should seize policy opportunities, continuously enhance their innovation and service capabilities, and cultivate technical talent with professional knowledge and a sense of industry mission to achieve sustainable development. The district Science, Technology, and Innovation Bureau will strive to continuously optimize the policy environment, provide convenient and efficient services to enterprises, offer precise support at critical junctures, and fully commit to building a comprehensive biopharmaceutical industry chain ecosystem. The bureau will focus on addressing forward-looking challenges in the biopharmaceutical field, promote integrated innovation across the upstream and downstream of the industry chain and among enterprises, integrate the innovation chain with the industrial chain, optimize the regional layout of industrial development, and form regionally distinctive biopharmaceutical industry clusters with core competitiveness.
