On May 26, Wang Shourui, Member of the Standing Committee of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee, Secretary of the Qianhai Party Working Committee, and Director of the Qianhai Authority, led a delegation to the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cell Valley for inspection and research, holding symposium discussions on topics including the development of the life and health industry in Qianhai, Shenzhen-Hong Kong collaborative innovation, and the construction of an industrial ecosystem for cell and gene therapy.
Tang Xiaomeng, Deputy General Manager of the Cell Valley Group and General Manager of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cell Valley; Xiang Hua, Deputy General Manager of the Group; and Wang Shaoqing, Chief Financial Officer, warmly received the delegation and participated in the discussions.
During the inspection, Tang Xiaomeng accompanied Wang Shourui and his delegation on a tour of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cell Valley's smart exhibition hall and product achievement display area, providing a detailed introduction to the company's business layout, operational progress, technology platform development, and future plans since establishing its presence in Qianhai. As an international platform enterprise in the cell and gene therapy (CGT) sector, Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cell Valley, leveraging the Cell Valley Group's comprehensive capabilities in clinical-grade GMP manufacturing, industrial-scale production of viral vectors, immune cell and stem cell R&D, clinical translation services, and cross-border medical services, has preliminarily built a full-chain industrial service system covering technology R&D, quality control, result translation, international cooperation, and cross-border services.
During the visit, the two sides held in-depth exchanges on topics including the overall layout of the life and health industry in Qianhai, the implementation of targeted support policies, the alignment of Shenzhen-Hong Kong rules, innovation in cross-border medical services, enterprise development needs, and policy support directions.
Wang Shourui listened attentively to the report on the development of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cell Valley and acknowledged the company's technological accumulation, industrial layout, international capabilities, and compliance operations in the cell and gene therapy field. He noted that Qianhai is accelerating the integrated development of Shenzhen-Hong Kong modern services and the life and health industry, continuously improving the targeted policy support system around key directions including cell and gene therapy, biomedical innovation, and cross-border medical services, while strengthening full-element guarantees for technology R&D, clinical translation, talent cultivation and introduction, and cross-border customs clearance, so as to accelerate the construction of a globally competitive life and health industry ecosystem.
Wang Shourui stated that the development positioning of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cell Valley is highly aligned with Qianhai's industrial layout. He expressed hope that the company would fully leverage its technological, platform, and international resource advantages, deeply integrate into Qianhai's broader development strategy, actively participate in the construction of Qianhai's life and health industry ecosystem, and play a demonstrative and leading role in promoting innovative development of the CGT industry, facilitating Shenzhen-Hong Kong collaborative translation, and exploring new models of cross-border medical services.
